First Visit Expectations

Welcome to Castle Hills Dental

Thank you for trusting Castle Hills Dental for your oral health needs. Under the care of Dr. Matthew Meyer, our team has created a welcoming, state‑of‑the‑art environment where you can feel confident about the high level of dental care you’ll receive.

Before you arrive for your first dental visit, you can save time by filling out your new patient information from the comfort of home.  The team at Castle Hills Dental can send these to you via email.   This helps us begin your treatment efficiently as you arrive at your first appointment.   These forms help us get to know you, and your medical history, ensuring we provide the best care possible.  If you're unable to fill out your forms prior to your first appointment time, please plan on arriving 15 minutes early.

What to Expect at Your First Visit

Your initial exam typically takes about one hour. This appointment is designed to help us understand your dental goals and expectations. Most new patient visits include digital X‑rays, allowing Dr. Meyer to evaluate your jaw structure, tooth alignment, and any areas of decay. You’ll also receive personalized oral hygiene instructions and expert tips on how to care for your teeth between visits. This first visit gives us the information we need to plan your ongoing dental care and schedule cleanings or treatments that are right for you. Please note that your cleaning may not be completed in the first appointment if a more thorough cleaning is needed, requiring additional time for the hygienist to ensure it is done properly.

Our Approach: Communication and Partnership

At Castle Hills Dental, we believe excellent care starts with open communication. Dr. Meyer and our team will explain any symptoms we find, go over your diagnosis, and discuss all possible treatment options—so you can feel empowered in your decisions. By working together, we can keep your smile healthy, your gums strong, and your bite and chewing function comfortable for years to come.
